A testimony - How Jesus entered my life at rock bottom.

I have nothing else to loose, as i had lost everything.

Having a group or actually any conversation about Religion, these discussions can be endless, so immense and in some cases they can become quite hot and fuming. I have read a few on this plate form, some really interesting and some I am not sure I understand. We all have our own opinions and experiences in some form of religion, in this context we are talking about Christianity. Sure, the religion(Christianity) topic is not for everyone, however, it is a topic for discussion, and can be highly informative and life changing, if you open your heart to it and honestly believe, especially if you have had an experience with the Lord yourself.

When I became a Christian, I started to follow the lord’s word, I really fell deep into his word, reading books, watching documentaries, talking to people from church and many other people around me, really taking it all in, gave it all my energy and time I had nothing else to lose, literally had nothing else to loose. I have not read the FULL bible as yet, at this time, please, do not get me wrong, It did what worked for me, to help me at that time in my life. I felt for myself, I needed so much help that sitting reading the bible was not an option at that time in my life, I needed help, I needed direction. I was confused and I leaned on other people’s experiences with Christ to guide me, their stories, they are real people and their experiences touched me deep, I found myself leaning more and more towards the lord, because of the true-life experiences I had indulged myself into watching and learning. Especially in the church, I gave all my time to the church, I became a leader and held the Alpha course aswel as a volunteer counsellor, I volunteered at the police station in my home town, guiding and helping the lost and the hurt.

However when I was studying biblical studies, I had to write about each book of the bible (66 books Genesis too Revelations) and answer question, so my knowledge on the bible became good and all I really need to know is that Jesus Christ is real and he did die for our sins so we can enter the holy heavens once we repent from our sins and invite the Lord into our hearts and our lives. I am not saying that you must not read the bible, when I say I have not read the bible I refere to actually sitting on my butt and reading it from beginning to end.

I know scripture a bit and I know that Jesus died for my sins and if I truly with my whole heart believe in him I will be saved and not just saved, I will have peace, I will be content and my whole life will change. There is no right or wrong way to becoming a believer in Christ or becoming a Christian, you do what works for you. Eventually yes, please do read the bible, it will take you 80 hours to complete the whole bible. We have a very patient God and he is waiting for you.

Ephesians 2:8-9 :”For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast”.

John 3:16 KJV: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Romans 10:9 :”Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”.

Romans 10:17 :”So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ”.

Galatians 2:16 :”Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified”.

Romans 10:17 :”So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ”.

Romans 7:7 :”What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”

A specific movie I had been wanting to watch for sometime now, its a movie on show max, but there was always something I had to do, or some reason why I couldn’t watch it, and the one morning I woke and decided I was going to binge watch both moves God is NOT dead 1 and 2.

This is what the devil does, he distracts us away for the word of the Lord, making us believe in something that is not real, deceiving us on all levels, John 8:44 :”You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies”. 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Matthew 10:28 “:And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

“The beauty of writing your testimony is that you can say exactly what you want to say in the space limitation you have. You can edit out the unnecessary information. Writing your Christian testimony is a wonderful way to share the miracle of a changed life with an unbeliever”.

Writing a testimony in a recovery period or hitting rock bottom from a death of a close family or friend, lost your job or basically any situation you have endured or if you just feel lost and you feel you don’t belong or you don’t know your purpose. Writing a testimony can help you see the change that is going to come in your life and when you read over it, the joy that flows through your body is just unbelievable.

I will rather stand with God and be judged by the whole world than stand with the whole world and be judged by God.

There is no right or wrong way to becoming a Christian or believing in the lord Jesus Christ our savor.

Why is Christianity always on trail and questioned but never any other religion? I do not judge what religion you practice, we all have free will and that’s what God gave us, but it is a question?

I was not brought up in a Christian home as a child, I didn’t go to church, I actually didn’t know what I believed, I think I knew there was a God but I didn’t believe with my heart, I believed in aliens and dragon’s and i would go between, catholic and other religions, but never in this time of my life did i mention Christianity as an option.

I am now a Christian because it’s evidently true.

A question to ask ourselves: Do we follow man’s word? Or do we follow the word of the lord?

Stand up and hold onto that faith, even if it’s just a pinch. Remember: The teacher is always quiet during a test.

GOD IS GOOD. ALL THE TIME !

I would love to share my testimony with you, I have nothing to hide, I am not embarrassed the Lord changed my life, in so so many ways.
